My name is Shauna Rogers and this is my first year teaching here in Anaconda and my 16th year overall. I teach 7th Grade English and Interventions with 4th, 5th and 6th Graders at Fred Moodry. I feel very fortunate to work between two schools and get to know so many students and families. I look forward to working with you and your children.
Here are a few things about myself. I was raised in Whitehall, Montana in a family of educators and graduated from the University of Montana-Western in 1997. After graduating, I moved to Fontana, California to teach 5th and 6th grade. I taught there for seven years and enjoyed the diversity, as well as, all of the opportunities the district provided. While living and teaching in Southern California I earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Azusa Pacific University. While I enjoyed the experience in California it was time to move back home to Montana. I moved back to Montana in 2005 where I have taught and worked in the Belgrade Schools. I enjoy many things such as camping, being with family, gardening, cooking and sports. My husband, Darrell, and I have children that attend the Anaconda Schools and I feel very blessed to work in the schools they attend.
I feel one of the biggest components of education is the relationship between parents, students and teachers. Having a strong rapport with all students is one of the keys to success when learning. Please feel free to contact me at anytime. I look forward to a great year! Go Copperheads!
